Can You Hear Him Cheering You On?
Since last year I have had this crazy urge to write. Could be longer than that now that I think about it, considering I published my 1st book in October of 2020. When I turned 40, nine years ago, I knew I wanted to write a book but had no idea what it would be about.
I definitely didn’t think it would be about the hardest part of my life. This was a time I wanted to simply grow from and move on.
The more I thought about it, it made sense to share my struggles. I realized that I was not the only one who had to fight depression and anxiety while building a business.
So I had to share my story and provide tips for others so they can learn from my mistakes. So I followed my heart and wrote the book.
Lately, it’s been a different type of push to write. I keep waking up and thinking, I’m going to write to these articles real quick and be done. Nope, writing in my head is fun, but the reality is simple. It’s not really fun for me because I’m, not the best writer. It takes me a long time to edit, proofread, and get over the fear of no one reading it.
So let the battle in my mind begin.
This week I learned the power of silence. When you learn to be quiet God doesn't have to wait for you to get past the noise to hear Him.
His voice becomes loud and clear.
I keep hearing use your voice.
I heard it clearly one day when I was listening to the radio and hear the DJ said use your voice in his morning motivation.
I heard Pastor TD. Jakes says it in his message on Sunday. Then again from Pastor Steven Furtick.
Let be clear. I don't sing, I'm a not so confident struggling writer, and public speaking is not my jam.
So what do I do? I get back to thinking.
It hits me. I have a YouTube channel and tons of training videos for my E-courses. Oh and I even have a weekly Podcast.
I've been using voice in so many ways.
So (I think to myself) why the consistent mantra to use my voice, Lord?
Have you ever stopped to think if you are using your gifts correctly?
I believe that God is simplicity at its finest. The truth is sometimes God is trying to give us the reassurance we need and we overthink it. Stop thinking and listen.
Do you hear Him? His simple statement is His simplistic way to cheer you on.
Imagine if your child were to run in a relay race. As they run by you’d shout RUNNNNN, son!! Clearly, they are already running, but you encourage them to keep doing that very same thing at the top of your lungs anyway.
Sometimes God wants you to know He is cheering you on. Are you listening?
His whisper is shouting at you right now. You have to learn to be quiet to hear Him.
You were born to be and do great things. Wake up every day and Go Be Great friends.
